Originally known as The Cupcake Café, Jason took ownership of the business in February 2017, forming a natural partnership with his daughter, and manager for the café, Charli Freedman.
Tweaking the existing name to include the ‘Curious’ element of his already successful bistro and deli, Curiously Kentish. Jason’s passion and enthusiasm for all things local and fresh was fundamental to his new venture.
The café boasts a superb location in the uber-cool, bohemian old town of Margate. A stones throw from the golden, sandy stretch of Margate beach, and the acclaimed Turner Contemporary, there’s always something happening in this artistic enclave of the town.

If on the very rare occasion our customers aren’t entirely satisfied, we’ll go out of our way to fix that. A happy customer means happy staff and that’s what makes our café great!
Loose-leaf tea, bespoke hand crafted coffee, ‘oozy goozy’ doorstep cheese-on-toast, chunky wholesome soups and handmade cakes, scones and croissants are the pride and joy
